Janet Jackson and Jermaine Dupri may no longer be romantically involved, but that’s not stopping the former couple from rekindling their magic in the studio.
Producer-songwriter Bryan-Michael Cox revealed that he and J.D. are reteaming with the pop star for her next album, the first since 2008’s Discipline. “I’m producing Janet’s album with Jermaine and it’s going to be hot,” B. Cox told Rap-Up.com at Tricky Stewart’s pre-Grammy party last Friday. “That’s all I can say so far.”
His producing partner Kendrick “WyldCard” Dean also chimed in, adding, “Some great collabos on there,” but didn’t disclose further details.
Janet has been in the studio with Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins working on her 11th studio album, due this year on A&M Records. She is also set to add her vocals to the “We Are the World” remake, singing her brother Michael’s part.

Janet will represent her brother @ "We Are The World" Project

MTV reports that a number of today's biggest stars gathered on Monday night to record "We Are the World — 25 for Haiti," the classic 1985 charity single re-imagined as a benefit for earthquake relief. Though song co-writer Michael Jackson passed away last summer, his presence was most definitely felt in the studio, where fellow co-writer Lionel Richie and producer Quincy Jones had assembled more than 80 singers, rappers and actors for the new version.
To make sure that listeners feel his presence too, Janet Jackson will be representing her brother in the new recording. "She's doing Michael's part in the middle the same part Michael did," Quincy Jones told the press. "She's representing Michael." Janet Jackson, who was out of town, will contribute vocals remotely.

Janet: "Life must go on!"

Heartbroken Janet Jackson has admitted she still looks at her phone and waits for dead brother Michael to call.
‘It gets sad sometimes because – I don’t know – you think your phone is going to ring and you hear that voice calling your name. But, yeah, life does go on and everybody grieves differently,’ the 43-year-old said.
‘And every day is different. Some days it’s much easier than others.’
In a rare interview about her family, the All For You singer also defended her parents following decades of accusations aimed at her father Joe for being a tyrant with the famous siblings.
‘My parents raised us in a wonderful way. It had its pros and cons at points but I think they did a wonderful job with us,’ she insisted, amid reports that her father is demanding Ł10,000 a month from Jacko’s estate.
Now with the focus back on her own career, the Why Did I Get Married Too? actress claimed she wanted to ‘kick somebody’s ass’ in an action movie role.
And in perhaps an accidental reference to her late brother, determined Janet claimed: ‘A lot of people in this industry have a lot of “yes” people and a lot of kiss-*****. That I can tell you I do not have. A lot has happened in my life this year, a lot of changes; I think I’m kind of headed in a different direction for sure.’
On her big-screen ambitions, she said: ‘There was a time when I met with the Wachowski brothers to do The Matrix, a long time ago but there were [scheduling] conflicts.’
She added: ‘I want to kick somebody’s ass. Anybody’s. As long as I get to kick somebody’s ass. Kick a new hole in their butt. Rip ’em a new butthole. I’d love to do that.’OK, Janet, calm down! Read the full interview – including all about her ‘tranny’ fear – in the new edition of Wonderland magazine out this week.

Rodney Jerkins revealed tonight on his live Ustream internet web cam show that Janet recently told him that it was OK if he "leaked" onto the internet a new, previously unreleased song that he produced for her.
He did not reveal the date that he would be releasing the track, but only said that it would be sometime soon. No other information about the new song was given.
Jerkins has been working with Janet on her upcoming new studio album since late last year. The anticipated album does not currently have a release date, nor has it been announced what record label, if any, will be releasing it.
Prior to this, Jerkins produced the songs "Make Me," "Feedback," "Luv," "Rollercoaster" and "Curtains" for Janet.
